Wendy Silverman

Dr. Wendy Silverman is the Alfred A. Messer Professor of Child Psychiatry and Director of the Yale Child Study Center Program for Anxiety Disorders. Dr. Silverman has published many scientific papers and chapters in the area of child and adolescent anxiety disorders including five books. She has been the principal investigator of National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) research grants to develop and evaluate treatments for anxiety disorders in children and adolescents for the past two decades. She also was a recipient of a NIMH mid-career development award (K24). She has served as Chairperson of the (NIMH) intervention grant review panel. Dr. Silverman also has served as an Associate Editor and Editor of Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Associate Editor of Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology. She currently serves as Co-Editor of Clinical Psychology Review.
