Emily Ritchie

I am a graduate student working with Melissa Ferguson in the Implicit Social Cognition Lab (http://www.fergusonlab.com/).

Broadly, I study the nature of implicit and explicit cognition during impression formation and updating, with a particular interest in implicit prejudice and stereotypes. In much of my work I aim to a) understand the malleability of negative associations driving group-based social stigma and b) inform the design and implementation of effective and lasting bias interventions.
