I am interested in a number of topics in the realm of human neuroscience. These currently fall along two main themes. One concerns the influence of race on information flow on the brain. For example, how (and why) brain activity differs during interactions with Black (African American) or White (European American) target faces. My other research interest is in computational approaches to mental illness, particularly Major Depression. For example, whether semi-supervised machine learning algorithms can predict treatment outcome in recently-diagnosed patients.
