Michael’s research explores cognitive factors that contribute to the formation and maintenance of incorrect, inflexible beliefs. He is especially interested in how cognitive biases sustain delusions in the face of evidence that might otherwise disconfirm them. He is also interested more broadly in elucidating the cognitive processes associated with positive symptoms of schizophrenia.
