I’m generally interested in the evolution of human cognition, with a particular focus on how we form judgments and make decisions. Much of my work looks at how and when we cooperate, how and when we make sub-optimal decisions and how to improve decision-making in real-world settings. Some current projects include an examination of how different intuitive systems update their representations, how early life environment affects cognitive processing and social strategies, and how we can use cognitive science to reduce poverty.
