My research program explores the evolutionary roots of humans’ sociocognitive abilities. In particular, many of my experiments focus on testing the extent to which other primate species share a human-like ability to understand others’ behaviors in mentalistic terms. I am also interested in how theory of mind like skills promote and constrain prosociality across species, as well as how environmental factors shape the emergence of particular sociocognitive skills.
