My research is interested in utilizing a multi-modal approach to examine the roles of emotion and interpersonal functioning on the etiology and course of mood disorders, specifically bipolar disorder. I am particularly interested in understanding how individual differences in psychophysiological measurements of emotional responding may contribute to emotional and interpersonal well-being in depression and bipolar disorder. Additionally, my research examines how differences in emotion perception and regulation may contribute to impairments in social functioning associated with these disorders.
